My World Kitchen
Food has always been central to my life. Growing up as a Cuban American, I was surrounded by the flavors of my abuela’s black beans, rice, and picadillo, while my American grandmother introduced me to other family classics. Their love of cooking shaped me, even though I didn’t realize it at the time.
My passion for food expanded as I traveled the world. I’ve visited 27 countries across six continents, exploring bold spices, vibrant flavors, and unique dishes. For a time, I lived in a place where I was surrounded by restaurants featuring foods from at least 25 different countries. I loved it! But when I shifted to a low-carb lifestyle, I found it harder to enjoy those diverse cuisines while sticking to my goals.
That’s when I began creating recipes that bring the best global flavors into a high-protein, low-carb framework. Some recipes are inspired by the people and cultures I’ve encountered around the world. Others are reinventions of traditional dishes or my grandmothers’ family favorites, converted to focus on protein, veggies, and healthy fats. Every recipe is packed with flavor, proving that healthy food can be vibrant and delicious.
